InnoAIforSR-PVDUni – When AI Becomes a Research Assistant for Teacher Education Students

As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly embedded in academic practice, the key question is no longer whether AI should be used in scientific research, but how it can be used responsibly, ethically, and effectively. Responding to this challenge, the InnoAIforSR-PVDUni Project has been launched at Pham Van Dong University to support teacher education students in applying AI to scientific research in a structured and principled way.

InnoAIforSR-PVDUni focuses on students conducting research projects in the social sciences and humanities, particularly those enrolled in English Language Teacher Education, Literature Teacher Education, Primary Education, and Early Childhood Education. These disciplines require strong critical thinking, rigorous argumentation, and high standards of academic integrity—areas where AI cannot replace human judgment, but can provide meaningful support when used appropriately.

Rather than promoting AI as a shortcut or content generator, the project frames AI as a research assistant. Students are guided to use AI tools to explore research ideas, organize and synthesize literature, refine academic writing, and improve overall research efficiency. At the same time, InnoAIforSR-PVDUni places strong emphasis on research ethics, transparency, and accountability, helping students understand the limits of AI and avoid misuse or overreliance.

A key feature of the project is the development of a long-term support ecosystem, including a dedicated blog for sharing guidance and best practices, as well as a chatbot designed to assist students throughout their research process. Through training activities and pre- and post-workshop assessments, the project aims not only to enhance research skills, but also to foster a reflective and responsible mindset toward AI use in academia.

InnoAIforSR-PVDUni does not position AI at the center of research. Instead, it places students and academic values at the core. AI matters only insofar as it helps students think more clearly, research more deeply, and remain honest and accountable for their own scholarly work.

InnoAIforSR-PVDUni – Khi AI trở thành trợ lý nghiên cứu cho sinh viên sư phạm

Trong bối cảnh trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI) ngày càng hiện diện sâu rộng trong học thuật, câu hỏi không còn là có nên dùng AI trong nghiên cứu khoa học hay không, mà là dùng như thế nào cho đúng, có trách nhiệm và hiệu quả. Xuất phát từ nhu cầu đó, Dự án InnoAIforSR-PVDUni được triển khai tại Trường Đại học Phạm Văn Đồng, hướng tới hỗ trợ sinh viên sư phạm ứng dụng AI một cách bài bản trong nghiên cứu khoa học (NCKH).

InnoAIforSR-PVDUni tập trung vào nhóm sinh viên đang thực hiện các đề tài NCKH thuộc lĩnh vực khoa học xã hội – nhân văn, đặc biệt ở các ngành Sư phạm Tiếng Anh, Sư phạm Ngữ văn, Giáo dục Tiểu học và Giáo dục Mầm non. Đây là những lĩnh vực đòi hỏi tư duy phản biện, lập luận chặt chẽ và chuẩn mực đạo đức học thuật cao – những yếu tố mà AI không thể thay thế, nhưng có thể hỗ trợ mạnh mẽ nếu được sử dụng đúng cách.

Mục tiêu của dự án không phải “dạy dùng công cụ”, mà là định hướng cách tiếp cận: AI được xem như trợ lý nghiên cứu, giúp sinh viên gợi ý ý tưởng, hệ thống hóa tài liệu, cải thiện cách diễn đạt và nâng cao hiệu suất làm việc. Song song với đó, dự án nhấn mạnh các nguyên tắc cốt lõi về đạo đức nghiên cứu, tính minh bạch và trách nhiệm học thuật, giúp sinh viên tránh lạm dụng AI hoặc sử dụng sai mục đích.

Một điểm nhấn quan trọng của InnoAIforSR-PVDUni là việc xây dựng hệ sinh thái hỗ trợ dài hạn, bao gồm blog chia sẻ kiến thức, kinh nghiệm thực hành và chatbot hỗ trợ sinh viên trong quá trình làm NCKH. Thông qua các hoạt động tập huấn và đánh giá trước – sau, dự án kỳ vọng góp phần nâng cao năng lực nghiên cứu, đồng thời hình thành tư duy sử dụng AI một cách tỉnh táo, có kiểm soát cho sinh viên sư phạm.

InnoAIforSR-PVDUni không đặt AI lên vị trí trung tâm, mà đặt người học và giá trị học thuật làm trọng tâm. AI chỉ thực sự có ý nghĩa khi giúp sinh viên học tốt hơn, nghiên cứu sâu hơn và trung thực hơn với sản phẩm khoa học của chính mình.
