Reflections on Workshop 2 of the InnoAIQA-VN Project: AI, Quality Assurance, and Responsible Innovation in Higher Education

I recently had the opportunity to attend Workshop 2 of the InnoAIQA-VN Project, held at Tay Nguyen University, with the theme: “Applying Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education Quality Assurance: Opportunities, Challenges, and Ethical Considerations.”

The workshop was a meaningful and valuable learning experience for me. Through the presentations, discussions, and project-sharing sessions, I gained many new perspectives on how artificial intelligence can be applied in higher education quality assurance. The discussions went beyond technology itself and touched on broader issues such as data governance, curriculum improvement, decision-making support, data security, ethical considerations, and the responsible use of AI in university management.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the InnoAIQA-VN Project Organizing Committee, the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Nguyen University, and all participating experts, lecturers, and institutions for organizing such an insightful and inspiring program.

I was particularly impressed by the contribution of Mr. Benjamin Jung, Mentor of the DIES Project from the University of Potsdam, Germany. His sharing on AI policy, regulatory frameworks, ethical issues, and AI governance in higher education provided an important international perspective. It helped me better understand that AI should not be viewed merely as a technical tool, but also as a system that requires responsibility, transparency, data safety, institutional readiness, and a strong quality culture.

One of the most valuable aspects of the workshop was the spirit of connection and mutual learning among universities, experts, and quality assurance professionals. Each institution has its own context and approach, yet all share a common goal: how to apply AI effectively, ethically, and practically in the context of Vietnamese higher education.

At the same time, the workshop also reminded me that AI is not a complete solution by itself. Its effectiveness depends on how well institutions understand their needs, prepare their data systems, train their staff, and establish appropriate policies. Without clear governance, ethical awareness, and human oversight, AI may create new risks instead of solving existing problems.

For me, this workshop was not only a professional development activity, but also a source of motivation. The knowledge and experience gained from the program will serve as an important foundation for me to continue learning, reflecting, and contributing more effectively to quality assurance and educational innovation.

I hope there will be more meaningful professional activities like this in the future, where the higher education community can continue to exchange ideas, test new approaches, and develop AI-based initiatives in a responsible, human-centered, and sustainable way.

Once again, I sincerely thank the organizers, experts, and all participants for making this workshop a memorable and valuable experience.

Vừa qua, tôi có cơ hội tham dự Workshop 2 thuộc Dự án InnoAIQA-VN với chủ đề “Ứng dụng AI vào bảo đảm chất lượng giáo dục đại học: Cơ hội, thách thức và các khía cạnh đạo đức”, được tổ chức tại Trường Đại học Tây Nguyên.

Đây là một trải nghiệm rất ý nghĩa đối với tôi. Qua các phiên chia sẻ, thảo luận và báo cáo dự án, tôi học hỏi được nhiều góc nhìn mới về việc ứng dụng AI trong bảo đảm chất lượng giáo dục đại học — không chỉ ở khía cạnh công nghệ, mà còn ở tư duy quản trị dữ liệu, cải tiến chương trình đào tạo, hỗ trợ ra quyết định, bảo mật thông tin và sử dụng AI một cách có trách nhiệm.

Tôi xin trân trọng cảm ơn Ban tổ chức Dự án InnoAIQA-VN, Trung tâm Kiểm định chất lượng giáo dục – ĐHQG-HCM, Trường Đại học Tây Nguyên, cùng các thầy cô, chuyên gia và các đơn vị tham gia dự án đã tạo nên một chương trình rất bổ ích, cởi mở và truyền cảm hứng.

Đặc biệt, tôi rất ấn tượng với những chia sẻ của ông Benjamin Jung – Mentor của Dự án DIES đến từ Trường Đại học Potsdam, Đức. Những kinh nghiệm quốc tế về chính sách AI, khung quy định, đạo đức và quản trị AI trong giáo dục đại học đã giúp tôi có thêm góc nhìn hệ thống hơn: AI không chỉ là một công cụ hỗ trợ công việc, mà còn đặt ra yêu cầu mới về trách nhiệm, tính minh bạch, an toàn dữ liệu và văn hóa chất lượng trong nhà trường.

Điều tôi ấn tượng nhất là tinh thần kết nối và học hỏi lẫn nhau giữa các thầy cô, chuyên gia và các cơ sở giáo dục đại học. Mỗi đơn vị có một bối cảnh và cách tiếp cận khác nhau, nhưng đều cùng chia sẻ một mong muốn chung: làm thế nào để AI được ứng dụng hiệu quả, thiết thực, có đạo đức và phù hợp với thực tiễn giáo dục đại học Việt Nam.

Những kiến thức và kinh nghiệm từ workshop sẽ là nền tảng quan trọng để tôi tiếp tục suy nghĩ, học hỏi và đóng góp tốt hơn trong công tác bảo đảm chất lượng và đổi mới giáo dục.

Hy vọng trong thời gian tới sẽ có thêm nhiều hoạt động kết nối chuyên môn như thế này, để cộng đồng giáo dục đại học cùng trao đổi, thử nghiệm và phát triển các sáng kiến ứng dụng AI một cách nhân văn, an toàn và có trách nhiệm.
